well hello there, gorgeous.
glad to see you found our new blog, ophelia+belle do tell.
let's skip the introductions and get right to the good stuff...in other words, don't you want to know what tickles the fancies of ophelia+belle? i thought so!
first up on ophelia's radar is hermes.

oh, how i love hermes! classic shapes, modern designs, and colour, colour, colour! love.
i mean, this headscarf will turn any mere mortal woman into ali mcgraw instantly! [though, truth be told, i kind of take away points based on the fact that this model has a lisa rinna look going on, and that is NEVER a good thing]
and of course, who doesn't love a gorgeous birkin? in case you were having trouble what to get me for xmas this year... i prefer the ostrich skin, athankyou.
next up, how AWESOME are these band-aids designed by cynthia rowley??
i almost want to give myself a paper cut or something just to use one! of course that would be silly and painful, so i won't be doing that...but if i already had a boo-boo, you bet these bad boys would be dressin' up that wound for reals!
also, i am in lurrrv with these keep calm and carry on bandages from urban outfitters
now, just so you know this blog isn't all about pretty pictures and witty banter [though that IS a large part of it], how about some knowledge for you?
the slogan keep calm and carry on came from this:
it was a poster produced in great britain in 1939 during the start of world war two. the intent was to raise the morale of the british public at the time, though it was little seen or even known about. about ten years ago, the people at barter books in alnwick, northumberland rediscovered it and began reprinting it, and it has been gaining popularity ever since. the original poster was part of a set of three, and unfortunately the designer of these works of art is unknown. the other two posters in the set were, "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory," and "Freedom is in Peril."
this classic image has been imitated by many, most recently irish, who've had a bit of a banking crisis.
here is their version of the poster:
it is coloured shamrock green in a nod to the flag of ireland, and features a harp that is part of iconic irish imagery on the country's coat of arms.
now how about some silly ones?
